    Volunteer Position

    The Board of Directors for Columbia Gorge ESD is requesting applications for an individual to represent Zone 2. Zone 2 consists of Wasco County voting precincts 1, 5, and 7 (western The Dalles to Mosier). Eligible applicants will be qualified voters in the district and have been a resident within the district for one year immediately preceding appointment. The Board of Directors generally meets once per month (the third Wednesday) at 7:00 p.m. within the boundaries of Hood River and Wasco Counties. The term of this office will end June 30, 2021.     Temporary and/or Part-Time Positions


    Summer School Instructional Assistant - Migrant Education perform the duties of working with small groups of students in the summer migrant program, guiding students with prepared curriculum, and lead student in prepared enrichment activities.  The position requires you to have good record keeping skills, be flexible and improvise as needed, have knowledge of student supervision, organization and learning abilities, and basic math, reading and language skills.  Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish and English preferred.  Will begin June 11th, 2020 and finish approximately between July 10th and July 31st, 2020.  $15.00 per hour, 5-7 hours per day, Monday through Saturday, with a maximum of 40-hours per week.  Hours would be from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.  Click here for a complete job description.  Please submit a completed application for consideration.  For this position, the licensed section of the applicaton does not need to be filled out.

    Kindergarten Transition Program Teacher - Migrant Education perform the duties of the lead teacher of the Kindergarten Summer School Transitions Program by providing asynchronous lesson plans, support, and guidance to other teachers, along with training and coordinating other instructors and assistants.  Minimum requirements of a Bachelor Degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education or related field, TSPC Licensure, and three to five years successful experience teaching early elementary children, using dual language immersion in Spanish and English.  Will begin July 10th and end July 31st, 2020.  $24.00 per hour, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday from 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM.  Click here for a complete job description.  Please submit a completed application, along with a cover letter, resume, and certifications for consideration.
