• Sunshine Kids Preschool
Columbia Gorge Education Service District (Columbia Gorge ESD) runs the Sunshine Kids Preschool in The Dalles, Oregon.  They provide several preschool classrooms for children in the community.  Students enrolled in the Early Childhood Special Education program are welcome to attend.
    Sunshine Kids Preschool is:
    • An educational program for all children which meets state guidelines for school readiness
    • An evidence-based, academic & developmentally appropriate program using licensed staff
    • A program which serves both preschool and prekindergarten children
    • A program which supports parents and families
    • A program which provides an enjoyable and fun learning environment
Kelley Barr and Sheree LaDouceur share duties as the classroom teachers for three of the four classrooms, along with a minimum of 1 para-educator. Heather Anderson teaches the fourth classroom with 2 para-educators. This ratio provides the support needed to help children learn the routines of the class and provide more opportunities to work on their individual goals.
    Classroom options are:
    Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday mornings 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. for 4 & 5 year olds
    Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday afternoons from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. for 4 & 5 year olds
    Tuesday & Thursday afternoons from 12:30 to 3:30 for 3 & 4 year olds
    Thursday & Friday mornings from 8:30 to 11:30 for 3 & 4 year olds
