Purpose & Mission
The Columbia Gorge Indian Education Program at Columbia Gorge ESD partners with school districts, tribes, and families to:
Support Native students in meeting the same state academic standards as all students, while honoring cultural identity
Foster knowledge and understanding of Native communities, languages, tribal histories, traditions, and cultures
Equip educators with culturally responsive practices to better support American Indian / Alaska Native students
This program operates under an educational plan approved by the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) and in accordance with the Johnson-O’Malley Modernization Act and Title VI of ESSA.

Indian Parent Committee
The Indian Parent Committee (IPC) plays a key role in shaping our program. All parents, guardians, and community members are invited to participate.
Meetings: 1st Wednesday of each month, 5:00 – 7:00 PM
