Technology Services

CGESD Technology Department provides technology support to our component school districts and the individual technology plans of those districts, including but not limited to technology services, distance learning, and professional development for employees who provide those services.

Our component school districts make up a wide area network of 20 buildings in 2 counties.

Our network services include:

  • Regional Redundant ISP Connectivity

  • Regional Redundant Firewall and Core Routing Services

  • Regional Network Connectivity Between Districts

  • WAN and LAN Bandwidth Analysis/Tracking and Prioritization

  • Hosts/Manages Web-based Work Order Management System

  • Development and Implementation of Regional Hardware and Software Standards

  • CIPA-Compliant Content Filtering and Reporting

  • Website Hosting; Listserve Mailing List Hosting;

  • DNS Services

  • Video Conferencing Coordination

  • SNMP Monitoring and Management

  • Networked Printing Setup and Troubleshooting

  • Premise Wiring Design, Identification, and Testing

  • Virus Protection Standardization and Virus Definition Maintenance

  • Server Design, Installation, and Support (Linux, Windows 2003, 2008R2, 2012R2)

  • Assist Districts with E-rate Application Procedure

  • Assist Districts with Implementing and Maintaining Back-up Procedures

  • Purchase Wide Area Network and Internet Connections as a Consortium for all Districts/Agencies/Sites

  • Access to Organizational for Educational Technology and Curriculum (OETC); Career Information System (CIS); and Video Streaming from Learn360 and Discovery Education
