REMINDER for those who attended the Standards Prioritization on June 12 - On Friday Aug 22, we will continue our work with the prioritized K-12 ELA, Social Studies and ELP standards by planning out the year.
INVITATION to anyone interested in mapping K-12 ELA or Social Studies, and ELP standards in a yearlong plan (based on the work started in June by teachers from North Wasco, Dufur, Spray and Hood River)
ELA & Social Studies Projection Mapping Professional Development Day: Building off the prioritization of standards done during June, this session continues deepening the development of a guaranteed and viable system for all students. Participants will be guided through the process of generating initial projection maps in the designated focus subject, most similar to the familiar document of a scope and sequence with ELPS overlayed. With the support of the consultants from Education Excellence, teams will thoughtfully place each of the ELA or Social Studies and ELPS standards on a year-long curriculum map to ensure appropriate pacing and depth for proficiency, while also accounting for competing priorities on time.
