On Thursday, Aug 21, new teachers from North Wasco CSD and Dufur SD attended a full day of learning to prepare for the first day of school.  Hailey Elliott and Eric Eckstein focused on the importance of knowing students to build a community of belonging where learning can take place.  In the afternoon, the new teachers focused on curriculum..  Katie Garrett, North Wasco Coach, introduced elementary teachers to iReady and Wit and Wisdom; Anastasia Conlin, North Wasco CSD Coach, oriented a new high school teacher to the curriculum.  All the teachers feel a little more prepared for the First Day of School, and are looking forward to a great year with their students!
