Columbia Gorge Education Service District

Twenty four teachers from across the region gathered on the last day of summer vacation to make a plan on how to teach the prioritized standards for English language arts and for social studies.  With the support of the consultants from Education Excellence, teams thoughtfully placed each of the ELA or Social Studies and ELPS standards on a year-long curriculum map to ensure appropriate pacing and depth for proficiency, while also accounting for competing priorities on time.  They have answered the first question: “What do we want our students to know and do?”
