Jamie Sowell, Teacher on Special Assignment as the Director of Technology, Calculus, Computer Science and CAD Teacher (South Wasco County School District), was chosen as last year's STEM Educator of the Year in recognition of his outstanding efforts as both an educator and an advocate for STEM & Technology in a rural (underserved) district.

Nominations are now OPEN for the 2025 STEM Leadership Awards hosted by the Gorge Technology Alliance (GTA)! 🌟

Do you know a STEM Education Leader of the Year? This award will be given to an individual who has transformed STEM education (science, tech, engineering & math) in the region. A $1,000 donation to their program is part of the prize!

Deadline: Submit your nomination by November 21 at 5:00 p.m.

Awards Ceremony: The winner will be announced at GTA’s Winter Party & Awards Ceremony on December 9th.
