Applicants sought for vacancy on Columbia Gorge Education Service District Board of Directors
The Columbia Gorge ESD Board of Directors are seeking applicants to fill a vacancy Zone 3 in South Wasco County (voting precincts 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14) on the Board. Applicants must be residents within the Columbia Gorge ESD boundaries and have resided in the district for one year immediately preceding the appointment.
The Columbia Gorge ESD is a regional education agency dedicated to enhancing the opportunities and educational efforts of our component school districts in maximizing educational achievement for our students.
Once appointed, the director will serve on the board until June 30, 2023. The position will then be placed on the ballot in the next regular special district election cycle in May 2023 as an unexpired 2-year term which will then conclude June 30, 2025.
Those interested in the position are asked to fill out an application, and return it to the Columbia Gorge ESD Board, care of Board Secretary Susan Vallie at svallie@cgesd.k12.or.us. Applications may also be mailed to the Columbia Gorge ESD Board at 400 East Scenic Drive, Suite 207, The Dalles, Oregon 97058. Applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on November 10, 2021.
Interested candidates will be interviewed, and the vacancy possibly filled, during the next Regular Meeting of the Columbia Gorge ESD Board scheduled for Wednesday, November 17, 2021, starting at 7pm.
